Doing Business in the West Loop
The West Loop business community is growing at an exponential rate. Businesses both large and small are migrating to the West Loop and national companies have recently opened up locations in the area.
The WLCO is dedicated to promoting local businesses, supporting economic development and advocating for continued growth in the West Loop. As a membership organization and delegate agency for the City of Chicago, our business members have access to a multitude of financial assistance programs and licensing help through the City's Department of Business Affairs & Consumer Protection (BACP), promotional opportunities, educational workshops and networking events.
Diverse Business Climate
The West Loop is just as comfortable housing corporate headquarters for Fortune 500 companies, as it is inspiring creative, small businesses. In fact, the West Loop remains a mecca for small start-ups and local, “home-grown” businesses. Small business owners appreciate the neighborhood’s proximity to downtown and major expressways without having to sacrifice their creative workspace. Warehouse buildings that once dotted this mixed use neighborhood are now being rehabbed and converted into innovative office space for small and medium-sized businesses.

The neighborhood is abuzz with news of London's Soho House making its Midwest debut in the West Loop. Additionally, Google has chosen to make the West Loop home to its Chicago headquarters, bringing 500+ employees to Fulton Market street in 2015.
