RESCHEDULED: City to Host Kinzie Industrial Corridor Meeting on Tuesday, October 9th

The Department of Planning and Development has rescheduled the next planning meeting for the Kinzie Industrial Corridor. The public meeting will take place 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at the Industrial Council of Nearwest Chicago (ICNC), 320 N. Damen Ave.

Please RSVP for this meeting on Eventbrite. If you previously RSVP'd, you may receive a notice from Eventbrite about the date change.

Part of Mayor Emanuel's Industrial Corridor Modernization Initiative, the meeting will offer draft recommendations for possible zoning code amendments, a discussion of corridor business data, and initial historic preservation findings.

As discussed at May's community meeting, DPD does not intend to repeal the Planned Manufacturing District, but the current process will include a review of existing uses in an effort to better serve the corridor's businesses.

The study area is outlined in the map above. A high-quality version is available online.

Public feedback will be accepted throughout the process via email at DPD@cityofchicago.org.

Thank you for your interest and your commitment to Chicago industry.
