The West Loop Community Organization (wlco) is a delegate agency of the City of Chicago for the West Loop area. Coordinating public planning, cultivating community development, and encouraging municipal compliance are among our active responsibilities.
Beginning Thursday, June 14, full street closures will be in effect for the 22nd annual Taste of Randolph Street. These closures facilitate festival setup, main event, and breakdown:
2018 Taste of Randolph Street Closures
Thursday, June 14, starting at 9:00 AM
Monday, June 18, ending at 6:00 AM
100 - 150 North Abderdeen, Carpenter, May, Morgan and Sangamon Streets
900 - 1200 West Randolph Street, including north and south service lanes
This year, there will be a private event on site Friday, June 15, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, after which the festival opens to the public until 10:00 PM. Saturday and Sunday it is open to the public from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Admission to Taste of Randolph is a suggested $10 donation. All donations benefit the West Loop Community Organization. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, our programs and initiatives depend on the generous support of our community.
The Taste of Randolph is the West Loop’s largest outdoor event, and wlco has worked closely with the 12th District Police Department to make sure this year’s festival remains a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. We are again excited to highlight the culinary talents of our community while enjoying music from the nation’s hottest up-and-coming bands. We hope to see you there.
