Tucked away on the 4th floor of the 1KFulton building, you’ll find a passionate team working hard to help girls access education, eradicate poverty and empower communities in rural Africa through the Power of Bicycles. They work for World Bicycle Relief (WBR) a global nonprofit organization headquartered in the West Loop. WBR mobilizes people through the Power of Bicycles , envisioning a world where distance is no longer a barrier to independence and livelihood. What started as a disaster relief response to the Indian Ocean Tsunami in 2005 has transformed into a global community powered by bicycles.

The West Loop Community Organization has received word from the 12th District Police Department that Officer Russell McKnight made the arrest on the offender for the recent Fulton Market District/West Loop robberies. The offender was positively identified and confessed to all of the robberies. The offender was charged with an outstanding warrant, possession of 20 bags of heroin and four counts of Aggravated Robbery. The Chicago Police Department is in the process of releasing a media statement. On behalf of the West Loop Community- thank you for all that you do in keeping us safe!

West Loop Soccer Club was founded in Summer 2015 by Milos Bajic, professional youth soccer coach, with a single mission: to provide a superior and consistent youth soccer program for an affordable price. Our first community clinic had more coaches than kids in attendance. Fast forward three years, and club has grown to nearly two hundred and fifty members. In addition to our Pre-Travel and After School programs, we also offer Competitive/Travel programs. Currently four of our teams, ages U8-U12, compete in a league against the best academies from the city and suburbs.

CHICAGO — During the 16th Edition of the London Design Festival — an international gathering of the world’s greatest design thinkers, practitioners, retailers, and educators — West Loop Community Organization (WLCO) Brand Manager Sevy Perez will present a new place branding theory at the inaugural Brand Design Conference hosted by the University of West London. Sevy’s methodology is piloted throughout WLCO's new Made Better brand, first launched at Google’s West Loop headquarters on November 2, 2017. The London Design Festival takes place between September 15-23, 2018, while the Brand Design Conference takes place between September 21-22, 2018.
