Member Monday: Balanced Approach Chiropractic Care
tell us a little bit about your organization? What do you do?
Our mission from day 1 has been to
give our patients something that they don’t often experience in healthcare
these days, a one-stop shop where they can have all of their health goals
addressed under one roof. With Balanced
Approach Chiropractic Care we’ve accomplished that by integrating chiropractic
care, decompression therapy, physical therapy, pain relief care, acupuncture, corrective
exercise, nutrition, and personal training all at one location.
your inspiration for beginning this business?
I actually had always planned on
going into dentistry, however, after undergrad I began having issues with my
own back and neck as a dental assistant.
When the shooting pain, headaches, and numbness got to be too much I
went to see a chiropractor for the first time.
Came to find out I had 3 disc herniations in my neck and an old collar
bone fracture from a car accident in high school. After only a few visits I was pain-free and
completely blown away. I enrolled in
chiropractic school 3 months later and fall more in love everyday with what I do
for a living. It’s an honor to be able
to help people with similar issues as I can relate to extreme, limiting pain.
some of the services you offer?
We always start with a thorough
exam and diagnostic workup. We also take
our patients goals into consideration when working up an individualized
treatment plan. We then select the
therapies that we think will work best to get to that goal. Whether it’s simply chiropractic adjusting
and trigger point work; postural corrective traction therapy and decompression
therapy; or adjusting, physical therapy, acupuncture, traction, and a
corrective exercise plan. We have a
large toolbox from which to draw from and select the therapies that will get
our patients the best, quickest, most effective results possible.
Why did you
decide to join the West Loop Community Organization?
Everyday on my way to work I’m
blown away at the changing neighborhood that I am so lucky to work in and be a
patron of. I find it fascinating to
watch the neighborhood grow and change.
To be involved in a group like WLCO who does so much to ensure these changes
are benefiting the neighborhood is truly a special thing. I look forward to meeting with all of the
wide variety of businesses who all do so much to advance our neighborhood.
What do you
like about being in the West Loop?
The food, the feeling that we’re
changing and evolving, the sense of community, the people, everyone is kind and
courteous and seems excited about the future of the neighborhood. Hard to pick just one.
How do you
contribute to the mantra, “Made Better” here in the West Loop?
Everything I do as a healthcare
practitioner is geared toward helping people to move better, feel better, live
better, and have less pain. My goal
every day is to provide my patients with the best quality healthcare
experience, whether that means taking my time to deliver a fantastic
chiropractic adjustment, or spend 30 minutes working on their form in a
deadlift. I think that this neighborhood
attracts a very special kind of person and business, people who are used to getting
the very best. I look forward to delivering
that for many years to come in the West Loop.
people get involved with your organization?
Give us a call at the office, send
us an email, pop by the office.
Consultations are always free and there are no stupid questions. We do a terrible job of educating the masses
about health, anatomy, and physiology as a society. One of my goals has always been to educate my
patients about what’s really going on to lead to the symptoms they’re
experiencing. We’ve got tons of
resources available for free on our website, on social media, and youtube page.
your organization apart from other similar organizations?
We are not the quick, in-out, rack
and crack chiropractic office. Having
worked in high volume offices focusing on patient centered rehab, low volume
offices focused on holistic care, and everywhere in between during my
residency. I really wanted ensure we
take our time to examine and assess the patients individual wants, needs, and
goals and put together a comprehensive plan including a wide array of
interventions to get them to that end goal.
I’m proud of how we’ve done that.
What is the
next thing for your business?
Coming up in November I’ll be
getting TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) Golf Biomechanical Analysis
Certified and we’ll be one of only a few offices in the city to integrate
indoor golf swing analysis, fitness, and physical therapy all under one
roof. Really excited about this program!
any other information you would like to share with us?
If you’ve ever been to the
chiropractor before we offer something truly unique and different, and if
you’ve never been you’re missing out. I
truly love what I do for a living and my patients can see that. It’s the greatest honor when someone puts
their trust with their health in your hands and we don’t take that
lightly. Patient education and modifying
what patients are doing at home and outside my office is something that I’m
very passionate about. If you have any
questions, concerns, or issues you’d like to discuss please give me a call or
stop by and say hi, we’re here to help!
